In August 2006 we launched The Beano & Dandy Collectors' Club, the first and only club of its kind dedicated to the collector/enthusiast of The Beano & The Dandy comics & annuals, from 1937 to 1988. D.C. Thomson & Co., Ltd, the comics' publishers, have kindly given permission to us to reproduce images from The Beano and The Dandy comics in a series of informative newsletters.

 

The first year has been a huge success and we would like to thank the 96 Founder Members who helped launch the club. We are welcoming new members who can take the club from strength to strength.

New members will receive a numbered membership card, Collectors’ Club coaster and three full colour A4 newsletters, including a bumper Christmas issue.

The newsletters will contain interesting articles about the comics' history, the comics’ characters and artists, the annuals, the publishers, DC Thomson, and more, written by myself and other 'guest writers' including Ray Moore. We feature a 'Letter to the Editor' section, include items for sale, competitions (with vintage comics as prizes!) and more…
